If you've ever been unlucky enough to get the table in the far corner of the room with your phone spinning on no connection, you'll know why I've done this.
I have decided to invest in better Wi-Fi connectivity, and now the quiz runs on a dedicated Ruckus® access point — proper networking kit that's built to keep a full room of phones connected at once. Faster links for the rounds, steadier scores, and one less thing to fight with on a Monday night.
The new kit will be in place during October, with the old router kept on standby in case of any teething problems along the way.

Connectivity that actually connects.
This is expected to be the first phase of the upgrade, with plans to expand to a wider Ruckus® mesh network across Whittle Taps around December/January, providing stronger and more consistent coverage throughout the venue.
- Dedicated access point — the quiz isn't fighting the building's WiFi for space.
- Steady for the whole room — built to handle a crowd of phones, not just one or two.
- Built to grow — the first step towards a full mesh network across the venue.
See You Monday
